We are looking for a Level 2 or higher qualified vehicle Technician to work on a mobile basis across our 4 Retail and Preparation centres in Northampton and Oxford.
Reporting into the Service Manager, this person will be responsible for maintaining our ability to look after customers during periods of holiday absence of one week or greater at each of our BMW and MINI vehicle workshop operations. Advance notice of the following week’s working location will be provided, with the opportunity to use tools provided by the business.
The successful applicant is likely to have relevant experience in a quality-focussed modern vehicle workshop, and be capable of assimilating the knowledge required to work on our current range of petrol and diesel vehicles. Hybrid and Electric vehicle qualifications are not required, with scope for training in these areas for the right candidate. Accuracy, quality, attention to detail, and a willing attitude are the most important attributes we are seeking, with an expectation that the manufacturer’s service and repair times will be capable of being achieved following a period of training and induction. A valid current MOT testing licence would be an advantage.
The role requires working 5 days per week, with no requirement for weekend rota working, and comes with a highly competitive basic salary based on experience and qualifications, plus an attractive on target bonus earnings package. The successful applicant will need to travel to all sites in their personal vehicle, with reimbursement for travel costs at the published HMRC rates. The role also attracts all the Group’s extensive range of other employee benefits.
